OMSI was involved in Belgium in the renovation of the “Roi-Baudouin” stadium in Brussels (the former Heysel Stadium.
The stadium seats, some 50,000, were dismantled by Omsi and delivered to a recycler in the immediate vicinity, who started the recycling process.

The process followed these steps:

  • washing sessions separation of different materials according to nature and technical qualities;
  • shredding of materials;
  • analysis of the composition of the flakes obtained;
  • sale of the flakes to manufacturing companies;
  • creation of new objects from recycled plastic materials.

All the new seats laid are made of recycled polyamide and polypropylene.
